• Literacy of America tutor-trainer for English as a Second Language and for Basic Reading, and ESL tutor for new immigrants to America
• Parent of four children who went through the Suffield public school system and have since attained their BA/BSs and have eight graduate degrees among them
• Resident of Suffield for 27 years, volunteered in PTOs, and served on the Kent Memorial Library Board as member and president
